| The seven cambered corners that make up the ‘International Circuit’ are a brilliant testing ground for any driver, and with five realistic passing opportunities, along with Manfeild being the longest motor racing course with uninterrupted view in the Southern Hemisphere, spectators are treated to some great action. To hire the circuit for any type of ‘competition’ the hirer should be a Motorsport New Zealand (MSNZ) or Motorcycling NZ (MNZ) affiliated club, and thus apply for and gain a permit through MSNZ/MNZ for the running of their day, complying to MSNZ/MNZ rules and regulations. While the circuit is built for motor racing, it is also ideally suited to a number of activities including driver training, product launches, hot-laps, cycling and skating. Within the 3 km ‘International Circuit’ is a 1.4 km track incorporating turns 1 – 4 of the main circuit then looping back to the start/finish straight that can be used as a ‘handling track’ while other driver training activities are performed throughout turns 5 – 7 e.g. ABS stops, slaloms and electronic stability tests. Hire cost for driver training starts at $2,100 and $2,310 for club and corporate events (all prices excl gst). These prices include circuit hire, room facilities within the control tower, scrutineering shed, toilet facilities and pit p.a. system. For commercial events prices vary dependent on requirements. | The circuit has a mixture of five fast and slow speed corners that offer an exciting addition to the ‘International Circuit’ for motor cycles, or a valuable venue for driver coaching/training in a range of vehicles. Unlike the 3 km ‘International Circuit’, the 1.5km ‘Training Circuit’ has no camber and offers hirers a different driving challenge. | The 13 turn full circuit provides the best of both worlds for large hire events. The International circuit can be run separately, simultaneously with the ‘Driver Training’ circuit or as one 4.5 km circuit. This option allows event managers the ability to offer training on a variety of corners to simulate any conditions that would be encountered on the road. The 12 metre width of the circuit and mixture of cambered and flat, fast and slow corners also make Manfeild perfect for vehicle launches and promotions in conjunction with the new pit lane corporate suites. Hire costs start at $2,940 (plus GST) for driver training. |
